Who We Are
About Us
At Northern Frights, we bring the eerie and the magical to life with immersive horror and fantasy experiences across Scotland. Founded by Laura Ripley, we’re passionate about giving local talent the platform they deserve while creating unforgettable moments for fans of all things spooky and fantastical. From our flagship events like Horror Con Scotland and Fantasy Con Scotland, we craft carefully curated experiences that celebrate Scotland’s creative spirit.
Northern Frights proudly partners with some of the best companies and creatives in the industry. From horror event organisers and filmmakers to authors and special effects artists, our events highlight the diverse and talented voices in Scotland’s creative community, giving them the platform they deserve.
Scotland's Creative Talent
We’re not here to replicate large, impersonal events. Our focus is on supporting local talent and nurturing the creative community. Whether it’s artists, filmmakers, or performers, our events offer a space for Scottish creatives to showcase their work, and for attendees to explore the rich culture of horror that Scotland has to offer.
Inclusivity
At Northern Frights, we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can feel comfortable. We know that traditional conventions can sometimes feel overwhelming, which is why our events are designed to offer a more intimate and personal experience. We avoid overcrowding, and our themed areas are tailored to suit different interests and comfort levels, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all.
