Event Quest Champion
Compete in the Ultimate Fantasy Adventure!
Embark on a quest-filled journey through Fantasy Con Scotland! Complete challenges, solve puzzles, and test your knowledge across various quests and activities throughout the day. The player who emerges as the ultimate quest champion will claim a grand prize and legendary bragging rights.

Best Costume (At Least 70% Hand-Made)
This category celebrates intricate costume design and craftsmanship, with a strong emphasis on hand-made elements. Whether you’ve stitched every seam by hand or constructed armor from scratch, this is your time to shine and be recognised for the effort, artistry, and attention to detail that bring your character to life.
Contest Guidelines
70% Hand-Made Minimum: Your costume should be at least 70% hand-crafted. Store-bought components are allowed for minor details, but the majority of your costume should reflect your own creative effort.
Attention to Detail: We’re looking for costumes that demonstrate craftsmanship through fine details, stitching, armor work, props, and overall finishing touches. Original or Inspired Designs: Whether you’ve created an entirely original character or recreated an iconic fantasy look, your costume should tell a compelling story.

Awards - Announced on the main Stage in the main hall at 4.30pm

Best Prop or Weapon (Hand Made)
What We’re Looking For This category is designed for makers who excel in:
Detail: The finer details matter. From intricate carvings to aged textures, we’re looking for props and weapons that captivate with their craftsmanship.
Contest Guidelines
Hand-Made Masterpieces - Your prop or weapon must be made by hand. Store-bought items, pre-assembled kits, or fully 3D-printed pieces will not be eligible.
Storytelling: Provide a brief backstory or description of your creation—share what inspired your design and how it fits into the world of fantasy.

Best Creature Creation - Hand Made
This is your chance to showcase your craftsmanship by designing and constructing a completely original creature by hand.
Whether your creation is inspired by ancient folklore, magical realms, or the depths of your own imagination, it’s time to bring it to life
Contest Guidelines
Your creature must be hand-made—no mass-produced costumes, store-bought props, or 3D-printed full builds.
Showcase your artistry through materials, textures, and attention to detail.

Awards - Announced on the main Stage in the main hall at 4.30pm
Prizes - More to be added shortly but includes: A £50 Tyges Voucher, A scheduled photo time with one of our dragons (same day) & 2 tickets for next years event
Best Transformation Makeup
This category celebrates the power of makeup to transform the subject into something unrecognizable, whether that’s a magical being, mythical creature, or fantastical character.
Focus on Transformation - Your work should showcase a complete transformation that takes the subject far from their original appearance. Make us believe they’ve stepped out of a fantasy world.
Hand-Crafted Techniques - From prosthetics to airbrushing and intricate detailing, this category highlights hand-crafted artistry. Pre-made masks or accessories won’t be eligible.
Complete Character Look - Costumes and props are welcome but will be considered secondary. The spotlight is on makeup as the core of your transformation.
